September 26th, 2012 by Boot Hill Hearse under Last Ride Tributes

Big hearts and those that love to ride come in many different ages.

Boot Hill Hearse was honoured to give 69 year old Darlen Brown her last last ride to the Stouffville Cemetery.

40 friends and members of the Ontario Motor Maids braved morning rain to help escort Darlene Brown’s body from the United Church to her final resting place.

We are told that Darlene loved her blue Harley equipped with a sidecar.

Best friend Christine Burns drove Ms Brown’s bike in the procession.

“She’ll be missed,” said her son Rick.

Darlene was part of Ride for Sight for more than 25 years, an organization which benefits The Foundation Fighting Blindness.
In 1991, she joined Motor Maids, a North American women’s motorcycle club.

“We’re very proud of everything she’s done,” said her daughter-in-law Sheryl.
